Recipes from Mom’s Kitchen 2.0

A follow-up project to the original illustration series, continuing my exploration of family memories through food. This time, the series introduces two new recipes, expanding beyond my mother’s cooking while keeping the same humorous perspective on family traditions and the stories behind them.

Brownies for Every Occasion

An illustrated memory of the brownies my mother learned to make when we discovered I was sensitive to gluten. What started as a recipe made especially for me soon became a family tradition, appearing at every birthday and celebration. The project tells the story of how one homemade dessert became a symbol of family gatherings and happy occasions.

My Aunt’s Fried Kubbeh

An illustrated story about my aunt's homemade fried kubbeh and the secret ingredients she never shared with anyone. As a child, I imagined all kinds of possibilities behind her mysterious recipe. The project brings those childhood fantasies to life, mixing family memories with imagination and a little humor.
