A Wedding to Remember

A personal illustration project based on the story of my wedding, which took an unexpected turn during a missile attack in 2025. The project follows my experience as a bride in the middle of a war, and the strange, sometimes absurd events that unfolded along the way.

Through humor and a personal perspective, the story explores the reality we’ve grown used to living in, asks where our own thoughts and feelings fit within it, and wonders whether even the hardest moments can leave room for a little optimism.

Drawn by hand in pencil and crayon, the project uses the slow, layered process of drawing to reflect the complexity of the story, building it one layer at a time.
